Leisure & Culture Dundee joins hidden disabilities Sunflower lanyard scheme
Leisure & Culture Dundee is pleased to announce its participation in the Sunflower Lanyard Scheme, an initiative aimed at enhancing the experience of those with hidden disabilities.
The scheme highlights that not all disabilities are visible and that many of us live with a non-visible condition. These can be neurological, cognitive, neurodevelopmental, physical, visual, auditory and respiratory, as well as chronic health conditions, including sensory and processing difficulties.
The lanyard signifies that the person wearing it has a hidden disability and may need additional help, time or understanding.
Judy Dobbie, Director of Leisure & Culture Dundee said
"We are dedicated to creating a more inclusive and supportive environment and fostering a diverse and welcoming approach within our facilities. We look forward to making a positive impact and ensuring everyone can enjoy our services to the fullest with stress-free access to our services."
